Crossing Organizational Boundaries Project
Approximately 175 photographs from the Black Heritage Society’s archived collections have been included in the digitization program that is co-sponsored by the University of Washington and Museum of History and Industry. This program is described as “Crossing Organization Boundaries” (COB). Many volunteers have worked diligently to complete the final review of the descriptive information. The photographs and their accompanying descriptions are available for viewing by the public on the KCSnapshots web site.
The Collections Committee is looking for additional volunteers to assist with the continuing accessioning of donations as well as identification of individuals in donated photographs. The Committee meets every Friday at the Museum of History and Industry from 11am to 1pm.
